The Americana Music Association conference is going on in Nashville this week
and last night there was a music showcase that used our church as the venue. I
was helping clean up afterwards and came across a bag with a jar of honey and a
plastic lemon bottle. No squirt bottle or chewed tar though
It was fun to see Tom Jacobs and Nice Dress Nellie as a couple shopping with
Newton Monroe today. All sorts of action and talk going on between Barney,
Newton and Andy with Tom and Nellie standing right in the middle yet- nary a
word from either of them.

Thanks Brent, for the heads up about the Hartmans. I had seen him in an old
musical once but did not know about his wife. I'll be looking for that
film. Also, all the talk of Sarah reminded me of the film "Raggedy
Man," in which Sissy Spacek was a small-town operator during WWII (the big
TAGS - but most all as a
different character. I think he has been a couple of different police
officers, a farmer, a prisoner (?). Trying to find out he is...

Even though they don't make TV like they used to, I still watch a lot of
modern day television. But you can imagine my surprise when I saw "Desperate
Housewives" last night, and Lynette (Felicity Huffman) was trying to convince a
skeptical police detective that a guy across the street was up to
I was wondering if anyone could please tell me in which episodes the
following scenes take place:
1)The one where Barney attempts to recite the Preamble to the Constitution.
2)The one were Barney makes a statement about giraffes being selfish

Ruth, it was Goober who took Gilly Walker's (no relation to Ellie, or Fred)
car apart and put in the courthouse.
And Connie, Barney always had Juanita as a back up to Thelma Lou. He played
the field occasionally. As Andy said, "She's everybody's Juanita, Barn."
