While watching Newhart, I noticed in the closing credits that the part of
Chester Wanamaker, the town mayor was portrayed by William Lanteau, aka Ed
Sawyer (Stranger in Town). I guess Mayberry wasn't quite his hometown he'd
hoped for.

I live in rural SE Oklahoma and receive my tv programming off-air by
antenna. On mornings like today, I can receive all the Dallas channels very
clearly. I was flipping through channels (like you do when you have that
many channels to choose from) and ran across the opening credits for the
Jimmy
I was watching 'The Long Long Trailer" with Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball.
The original Floyd made an appearance (His name escapes me) and when I
looked at the credits (I did not watch the whole movie) It said Howard
McNear was in it also. Oh yeah, I also saw Otis' wife in it, too.

YAY! Ruta Lee, (The Andy Griffith Show) Clint Walker, (Cheyenne) Robert
Fuller, (Wagon Train) Henry Darrow, (High Chaparral) and Andy Devine's son
were in town today for a Gathering of Guns show emphasizing gun usage and
safety. I did not get to see them in person, but their photos and
Lo and behold while I was watching the show The First 48 there he was! A
picture of Barney in uniform with his arms folded, looking pretty confident
with the words, go ahead make my day in a bubble quote over his head.

Yesterday on Bonanza I saw 3 or 4 alums in the same scene several
times. Malcolm Tucker, Gentleman Dan Caldwell, the judge that presided
in Andy on Trial, and I believe one of the Morrison sisters was in

The great thing about the Internet now a days is that you can watch practically
anything if you have a computer. Almost all the TAGS episodes are on YouTube
now. And if you go to IMDB there are tons of movies to watch. Anyways,

Tags actors Bob Denver and Allen hale got stranded on Gilligans Island and Jack
dodson was a distrought father on matlock accused of killing a cult leader and
Anita was the mother of a groom and Sheldon Leonard gave matlock gambling tips
in Las Vegas when he defended a friend for murder. SUSAN
Saw our very own Mr.Foley in a movie with Cary Grant over the weekend.
It was called Roomm for One More. (I think)m Also in it was the lady

Jerome, I remember seeing Betty Lynn on 5 episodes playing Sarah, Ben's
secretary. Aneta Corsaut appeared on 7 episodes. In 5 she was Judge Cynthia
Justin. Writer Everett Greenbaum appeared in 5 episodes as Judge Lawrence
Katz. Andy Griffith's friend R.G. Armstrong appeared in two episodes
Last night I was watching a local channel that often plays older westerns
and shows. First up was I Married Joan and there was a sober and well
dressed Otis as Joan's neighbor. Next was Burns and Allen with Sheldon
Leonard as a criminal. Then The Lucy Show with Orville Monroe from the
funeral
Sci-Fi network is running a New Year's Twilight Zone marathon, and Tuesday
afternoon in an epsiode named Miniature I heard Welcome Sweet Springtime
being played! Couldn't tell if it was Hazels's playing or not.
Then, just moments later in the same episode, I heard Santa Lucia also!
