Dewhurst) - A sheriff on Alias Smith and Jones Fred Sherman Fred Goss)-A marshal on "Stories of the Century" TV series Ronnie Schell- A marshal on Trapper John, M.D. Anthony Jochim (Harvey) - A deputy on Bonanza Robert Williams (Mille's Uncle Phil) - A sheriff on Gunsmoke episode Pat Hingle- A sheriff on Kung Fu, Bonanza, and other TV series ( A judge in Hang Em High) Frances Bavier-Self appointed sheriff on The Lone Ranger episode(Aunt Maggie) **not positive about Aunt Bee on this one Gavin MacLeod if you count that he played Andy in "Sheriff Without A Gun" Bob Denver (Dud) - dreamed he was a marshal on "Gilligan's Island" Now that's a heap of law experience that passed through Mayberry.
