In watching a very old movie starring Humphrey Bogart yesterday, one of the Dead End Kids seemed familiar and I wondered if it was Billy Halop; turned out he was. Then I realized he was also the cab owner for Archie Bunker. Billy played some bad guys in Mayberry, most notably (I think) the co-owner of the shooting gallery at the carnival when Opie was trying to win the gift for Andy. I guess that qualifies Mr. Halop for a long, illustrious career!
