Hello Fellow Mayberrians! Just gotta put my 2 cents into the moulage......hope I'm not seen as an interloper and get the "big freeze"! Remember when Barney wanted to "throw a dragnet" around Mayberry to catch Ernest T Bass and Andy said "he's not John Dillenger, he's just a silly little man with a rock"? And remember when Ernest T couldn't get his uniform cause he wouldn't obey the Army's rules and he only wanted the ATTENTION of the girls but even when he got the uniform he didn't get a girl? " He's a strange one, he's a wild one..........(Barney)* I think he's a nut!" *We don't need to take all the "windows" out of Mayberry for fear of a little rock!
Speaking on the Digest about Barney and his romantic side..........I always thought Thelma Lou was a perfect character to illustrate "Barney, the love god".........She was so sweet and kind and careful of his ego, she was one of my very favorites......I loved her very tender ways. I am so glad that they did end up getting married even if it was in Return to Mayberry! I really, really hope to get to met Betty Lynn someday! Well 10-4, over and under.....
