I was watching a 1964 episode of "McHale's Navy" Saturday night, with the plot of having a Russian naval officer visiting the crew of PT-73 to learn about our tactics, etc. Turns out the officer was a woman, to everybody's surprise - and, to my surprise, she was none other than Sue Ane Langdon, a/k/a Nurse Mary, who went out on the nighttime picnic with Andy that Barney, of course, interrupted. Quite a difference between the two roles, especially when she went from a strict by-the-book officer to a vodka-drinking, sarong-wearing buddy of McHale's crew. Another versatile TAGS actress.
