As Ken pointed out, Charlene calls one of her brothers Other (pronounced with a long O), however he isn't a fifth brother, it's apparently a nickname for Dean. She also calls Doug "Jebbin" in that episode.
In an early draft of the script for The Darlings are Coming, the boys were called Frankie, Jebbin, Ward, and Cobb. Except for Other and Jebbin, the boys' first names are never mentioned again until their final appearance in The Darling Fortune, when The Dillards' actual first names are used (Rodney, Doug, Dean, and Mitch). BTW the name Other came from makeup man Lee Greenway, whose middle name was Other (or maybe Oather). Speaking of that early draft, it also included a singing radio commercial for hog feed that The Dillards were meant to have recorded for the episode. I'm not sure why it was cut, unless it had something to do with the boys not wanting to record something written by someone else. Perhaps that would have meant no royalties or some such.
