Charles Lane was on both Petticoat Junction and TAGS. On Petticoat Junction,
he was Homer Bedloe and on TAGS he was Mr. Frisby(sp).

Hello fellow TAGS,
Paul that was a very funny dream.
Sunday night I was flipping thru the local T.V. channels and came across
a very old movie called "The Milky Way".
I only saw about the last 15 - 20 minutes of the movie. I did recognize
one voice Mr. Charles Lane, only heard
I was interested to read of the passing of Charles Lane, who played Mr.
Frisbee in "Aunt Bee the Crusader." Didn't he also play the guy who tried
to put shoes on the bull in "The Cow Thief"? (I believe his name was Luke).
Also, if I'm not mistaken, he played Mr. Po
One of the most beloved "bad guys" in film and television history has died.
You may remember Charles Lane in everything from "Mr. Smith Goes to
Washington" to "LA Law," and of course as the farmer whose cause Aunt Bee takes
up.

I was so sad to read that Charles Lane had passed away. Another great loss of a
classic actor.
I hope TV Land does a tribute to him. He was great as Homer Bedloe in
Petticoat Junction,
and as the calm father in the waiting room in I Love Lucy, as Mr. Frisby in
TAGS, and so
many
Charles Lane (Mayberry moonshiner Mr. Frisby) has died at the age of 102.

I just read the msn home page where charles lane died at the age of 102. He
played Mr. Frisby in Aunt Bee the crusader, he was also honored on the
tvland awards 2 years age when he turned 100. I dont expect that tv will say
much about him because he was a bit player but we all know him and
