I went in to the digest archives in my section and found a post I made in
November, 2011. Thought I would re-post below regarding what I think if one
of the funniest exchanges on TAGS.
I think the funniest exchange is found in the Manicurist episode when the

My pick for funniest episode: "Barney's Sidecar." Some hysterical
dialogue (Barney describing riding with his mouth open and not pronouncing the
letter "s", Aunt Bee comparing him to a Nazi) and a brilliant sight gag
straight out of the Marx Brothers.

Every show has it's golden moments of humor, genuine warmth, and human
insight-making a choice like that a fun but impossible chore!
Having said that, the episode I watched last night, "The Fun Girls"
I have to agree that "wonder who that could be?" is the funniest line in the
series.
Maybe we could do a favorite line poll, or funniest line poll on the web site,
similar to the Favorite episode poll.
And my choice for the most prophetic lineGot time to breathe, got time
"Baked Alaskan" will always enjoy the memorable line by Barney that concludes
his soliliquy in "Dogs, Dogs, Dogs"; "Boy, Giraffes are selfish! He truly
believes it.

I laugh every time I hear Ernest T. Bass ask in his nasal voice, "I wonder
who that could be?" The scene is in My Fair Ernest T. Bass and Barney is
going to teach Ernest T. how to enter a room properly. The look Andy gives
Ernest T. is priceless. Then of course there are more lines later in the
"Another starter question: What is the funniest line in AG? (of all the
episodes)"
Opie's "He is one of my own" when he refuses to say anything bad about the
spoiled kid who rode his bike on the sidewalk.

of TAGS. Here's my final list. I wanted to narrow it down to a top ten, but
since there were so many ties, I could only get as far as eleven.

Hey guys!
My favorite funniest episodes are different from the ones everyone else has
said. One of them is where Barney is trying to catch the shoplifter at
Weaver's Store I laugh and laugh when Barney is a maniquain and Leon offers a
bit of his sammich. At the end, when the elderly

possibilities. But I think I would agree with someone else who named "The Bank
Job." Practically every line in that episode (except for the dramatic scene

One candidate for funniest eoisode has to be "Opie's Charity". Opie gets off a
lot off funny lines when he and Andy are talking about poor Horatio the half a
boy. And the scene with Andy and Tom Silby at the cemetery talking about Tom's
