I was given some lemon cucumbers and didn't know what to do with them since I don't like cucumbers. Then it came to me - pickles! I took Clara's advice and bought all fresh spices, especially since I didn't have the ones I needed, and got started. It was a real easy recipe and I felt like Aunt Bee. I've never made pickles and it took a cup of vinegar. My husband came in the kitchen after I was through and sniffed and said it smelled it vinegar. I told him I'd made some pickles his reply: "kerosene pickles?". He claims he does not like TAGS but he knows a lot about it. They are still fermenting so I don' know what they taste like.
