Watching Christmas in Connecticut and heard something I missed all the other times it's been on - "Nip it in the bud". So, for the benefit of all those who have joined the group since our last discussion, can someone please refresh where that phrase originated?
One source I found dates it to 1595. Anyone find a mention prior to that date? http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/256600.html Harriet, the chicken thief, hiding out in Kelsey's Woods, USA _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
