Sure are a lot of members who seem to have expertise in the construction of
a Sazerec. I suspect Jennifer and Clarabelle Morrison would have to
question how they came upon this knowledge. It's not National Potato Week,
you know.

The Sazerac cocktail is to New Orleans what the margarita is to the
southwest. It is reported to be the first cocktail every invented (at least
in the United States). Antoine Amadie Peychaud, a Creole apothecary, is
given the credit for first inventing the Sazerac cocktail in the 1830s. In

Whiskey (Rye or Bourbon)
Herbsaint (replaced Absinthe)
Peychaud's Bitters
A sugar cube
Not a cocktail for the faint at heart! This may be the oldest cocktail served.
