One of my favorite things about Mayberry, is that the "picture show" is pretty
prominent in their lives. Barn gives a hint of his preferences several times,
and "The Monster From Out of Town" seems to indicate the fare shown, along with
the Cary Grant and Gregory Peck films.

A few years ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to see a double feature at the
Mt Airy cinema - a sci-fi movie starring Mayberry's own Jean Carson (or should
I say Mt Pilot's own?) in which a newlywed's husband turns into a zombie. The
climax features all of the zombies (I think) turning into foamy bubbles. The
second (and main) feature was "The Ghost and Mr Chicken," still as wonderful
today as it was back then...even "wonderfuller," you might say!

Emmett, I'm looking forward to meeting you, Lord willing, again this year.

Over and Under,
Clyde "Barn"
