I think when Andy says, "Charlene, I'm old enough to be your father!" Charlene says something like, "You sure been beautiful preserved!" And Charlene never completed the divorce proceedings against Dud. She was just angry because he went off hunting with Hasty Burford too long and he was grinning at Idell Bushy at church. You see, he used to go with her and he ain't lost it for her yet. But Dud and Charlene got back together. Otherwise, how would they have created little Andelina?
