Okay, maybe I am over-thinking this. But, watching the color show where Clara wants the organ for the church. When she is at the man's home (previously the butter & egg man) with Andy and Warren to take the organ back, he calls her "Mrs. Edwards". She corrects him and says "Miss Edwards". She then sings "Some Enchanted Evening" to him. Wasn't she a widow and still a Mrs.? Doesn't Clara have a boy named Gayle? Or, was this her way of persuading the man to let her have the organ back for the church, letting him know she was single? Any widow I know is still a Mrs. Thoughts on this appreciated.
