Hey, Mayberry friends. Watermelon and salt go together like Ernest T. and Romeena. Bitter and sweet make a delicious combination. I've ate it like that for many years. With all the talk recently about bugs and spiders and bats and I don't know what all, let me tell ya"ll about my recent experience. I took my wife's car to the service station (not Wally's) to have the oil changed. When I got out I found a bat attached to the rubber molding around the rear window. Evidently he had decided to roost there sometime during the night. He was still alive so I gently removed him with a stick and turned him loose in some bushes. I made sure several people saw it before I did this because you'all may not believe me. Like Otis, I like to see a bat occasionally, only not this close.
