Hi all, I am new to this forum and the world of web development and have been tunning-in for some time now. I have always found the discussions enlightening to say the least. This is truely a great, if not the best, site for networking with WebDev comrades.
Can anyone make recommendations for inexpensive or free online hosting? I created a website as a capstone class project and would like to post it to the Net as a portfolio piece. This E-Commerce site uses n-tier technology (ie. presentation tier, business tier and data tier: script/code in HTML, DHTML, XHTML, JavaScript, XML, XSL, XPath, Java, JSP, Oracle 8i database). Basically, the site's a bookstore prototyped on a jakarta-tomcat-4.0.1 server and incorporates a shopping cart model. Additional user interfaces for staff and warehouse administrative tasks were written in Visual Basic 6.0.
