Check out Sygate's Personal Firewall Standard Edition. It's free and easy
to use. It seems to ride well with XP/SP2's built-in firewall.

If you need VPN firewall protection, you may want to get the "Pro" edition.

If you are running XP you can turn on its firewall while obtaining another
