Susan, Although there are many different languages out there, you may want to assess which ones you *truly* need to learn. My philosophy in my business is to never re-invent the wheel. In other words, if there is a wiz programmer out there (like Matt Wright: http://www.scriptarchive.com/) who has made a free script, why should I spend the hours upon hours (at the rate of $[can't say].00 an hour) to do what he has already done?
I know enough JavaScript, PHP, and Perl to get a script to work on my servers and that's it. BTW, PHP is very functional and I am trying to learn more, but am in no particular hurry. :) HTH, Will -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks for your advice. I do visit WDVL fairly regularly and hotwired occasionally. I didn't know of the other ones. Being a jack of all trades I'm overwhelmed by all the languages and possibilities for design there are. Maybe the real key is to just start doing it and see what happens. ____ • The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM • ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Send Your Posts To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To change subscription settings to the wdvltalk digest version: http://wdvl.internet.com/WDVL/Forum/#sub ________________ http://www.wdvl.com _______________________ You are currently subscribed to wdvltalk as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
