I'm interested in this too, as I'm considering a new PC with XP.
What I need to know first is if
Microsoft has to be contacted everytime anything on the machine is
updated, or
just when XP is reinstalled? If so, is this as much hassle as I've read?
What's this? Does this mean when you have to

think may be the HDD or may be a fan. At three years old it now seems

on getting a prebuilt system w/XP and you aren't an upgrade-pig like me,
