Here is another tip for those who are going to use SL4A to edit files

It's not only free, but also ad-free and even open-source... and very

In response to a question in another thread, here is a summary of how
I got web2py running on my Android device (a Samsung Note), using
hints found here and there.
Maybe it can save some time for those wanting to do the same thing.

As often, it is not difficult, but not trivial either because Android

Massimo, thanks a lot for taking the time to look into this !
So :
1) as usual, you are right :-)
2) your "quick fix" doesn't work, maybe because my column type is

Hi,
I have this very old web2py app that has been working 24/7 since early
2008...
One instance runs on my phone (Nokia N900, a Linux device), another on
my home server (also Linux).
The mobile instance frequently "pushes" database records to the server
instance, using XMLRPC, by calling the rel
As I mentioned before, there is a wealth of material online, but one
thing that is lacking is a short presentation with a summary of what
is considered most important and original in web2py - something that
can be presented in 5 minutes max, in a typical "lightning talk"...
such as the one I shoul

Hi,
I have an idea for an app I'd like to try out, but I'm not sure if
it's actually possible to do this with http.
Basically the app server would be dedicated and have only two
clients :
- one, a mobile, tactile unit, would only display a sort of menu

were in your head and not in the slide notes :-)
