Dear friends,

I am sorry to inform you that both the talks I proposed to PyCon 2010
about web2py have been rejected.
This is the third year all web2py related talks have been rejected.
I do not have any additional information about this.

On the plus side, for the second year in a row, the registration
software used by PyCon 2010 is built on web2py. Yarko and I help with
custom development and maintenance. So far it worked flawlessly. Last
year it handled 800 registrations and credit card payments.

Since I care about results more than words, this makes me more proud
than if I were allowed to give a talk about it. I hope other users and
contributors feel the same.

I have been invited in a panel discussion about form generation which
was accepted. 5 frameworks will be represented which leaves less then
8 minutes of total talk time to each of us. I do not think that is
enough time to show anything interesting to people who have never seen
web2py before.

I am still waiting to hear from PyCon about a proposed tutorial
session on web2py but, given the trend, I do not have much hope.

Massimo
