What you are doing is different from what the guide shows.

If you just want to GET the entries:

    curl http://127.0.0.1:8000/RT/default/api/entries.json

If you want to POST/add a new entry you may need to have authentication:

    curl --user user:pass -d "f_entry=something" 
http://127.0.0.1:8000/RT/default/api/entries.json
