record_changed works only with a SQLFORM and not with a FORM.
I found it clear... Do you mean we should discuss this feature in SQLFORM
section??

the detect_record_change section appears under FORM in the book

but it does *not* work with FORM.
Its existence might be missed since there is no mention of it under SQLFORM.
