Hi all,
I think there is another condition to met for the automatic creation. The
primary key of the source should also be the foreign key to the destination
entity.
Own destination means that the destination object is owned by the source and
should be deleted when removed from the relationshi
I must be doing something else wrong.
I selected the relation ‘security' in my Person entity and I found and checked
“Owns Destination” in the Advanced tab.
If I create a new person entity, the security entity is not created (unless I
create it in the init or awakeFromInsertion method).

My app was already fetching the application().activeSessionsCount() from
the server every 30 seconds.
So now in the same DirectAction I also update a new small table in my
database with a row for each of my instances and two columns(Instance ID,
active count). I can now fetch this data

the detail is in the word „owned“. For that there is an extra checkbox on the
relationship panel in EOModeler. If you check that, the „owned“ Entity at the
end of the relationship is automatically created by EOF and assigned to the
owning Entity.

I found a solution to this. Yes I have got all this in my JavaMonitor, but
I needed to retrieve the info in java to display on screen from within one
of the instances. So now I just continuously update a small table in a
database with the active counts of each instance.
