I have uploaded the sketches and specs of the Community/Get Involved
section on the OwnCloud instance
(http://owncloud.documentfoundation.org , pick the Common folder then
->Website -> Website Redesign 2013)
Please review this community section and let me know if you feel
something is miss

I am getting word that even the Common section on Owncloud requires passwd
and username. Is it true and is there a way to fix this asap?

This is a big fail. When we decided to go for owncloud, the basic idea was to
have something that would let people download freely and publicly from it, yet
requiring credentials for upload. Silly me, I just found out you must login to
even access the common folder on Owncloud.

NoRepro here on my system -- if I log-out, I can access public URLs just fine.
