yes, that's what i'm doing now--but having to 'guess' what the right setting of
each option is for a new OS is not trivial :-)
1) I un init the ldapclient and then ldapsearch still works, I am pretty sure
ldapsearch is independant and does not rely on any config files.
2) I tends to beleive it but I dont understand I am the first one to report it,
apache with ldap support is pretty common..
