hi
i though i got it last night after having removed the ip v6 part of the rpi
and hardcoding the ip address of the mysql server, the weewx did not crash
for 12 hours. but this morning at 07:12 the weewx had crashed again the
last line of the syslog regarding weather station is :

For Christmas today I received an Acurite 01536 5-in-1 weather station with
USB connection (from Costco). I set it up with weewx and was excited to see
it works out of the box for the most part.
One difference from the docs is there's no 'USB Mode' switch on this base,
so I'm interested to see
If you can dump from the old sqlite file, it's pretty easy to restore into
a new one:
sqlite3 weewx.sdb < dumpfile
-tk

hi andrew.
Thanks for your reply,
You are probably right i should start again from a fresh install and slowly
put it on load by adding functionalities.
The problem of that approach is the time it's going to take to achieve my
goal. i have sometime 1 crash per day, sometime two crashes per day.
Hi thanks for your help.
i have desactivate ipv6 on the rapsberry by adding
net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6=1
in /etc/sysctl.conf
i hope it will be enough. i don't see any ip6 address on ifconfig but can
still see something in sudo netstat -lntp
tcp6 0 0 :::80 :::*
I run my Weewx on Raspberry Pi and on a "PC" (Ebox 3350 and Ubuntu 10).
Both have the OS on an SD/SDHC-card.
Now, I find it messy to create a backup image:
1. Halt system
2. Power down
3. Remove SD-card
4. Put in laptop and create an image to file (5-10 min)
5. Insert SD-card in taget again and
I was lazy and did not make any backup or image of my installation. (Yes -
Bad sysadmin!) Last week my SD-card gave up and very few files are not
affected (and can be copied). The weewx.sdb-file is only readable by 80%
and the rest is zeros now.
Is it possible to recover the first 80% and
10 matches
