Same results on a 3.19.0.80 kernel
I will try it on another Linux system, if it fails on that I'll return the
weather station for a refund and try a different brand.
My old Oregon Scientific WM918 ran for over 10 years in conditions from -30
C to +30's C using FreeWX and later Cumulus but it died
It's a ver 4.x uname gives me this:
4.4.0-93-generic #116~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP
I'll see if i can downgrade the kernel
