Hi Matthew Thanks for the information about the various udev folders which helps me understand their interaction. I created a file /etc/udev/50-localusb.rules and inserted the rule. Also, inherited from Linux Mint 20.1 running Weewx 4.8, I also have the following line in /etc/udev/descriptive-
