connection. Wiki lists only 2 models, which are pretty old:
LINKSYS USB2HUB4 (NEC Corp. HighSpeed Hub)
D-Link Corp. DUB-H7 7-port USB 2.0 hub (older grey/silver version)

Hi,
my server with weewx has lost connection with a FineOffset meteostation.
Station is installed in a remote location over 3G connection, so I want to
investigate as much as possible to eliminate this risk in future.

Gary, if station is down, but weewx is up? I expect it will continue to
generate files with empty data, don't it? So this case will not be detected.

5. I don't see a folder weewx inside /var/www/. It should be there,

Vince, thank you for clearing this out. I think your great explanation
deserves to be included in the documentation. Right now it feels like
everything should work out of the box, which is clearly not the case.
