Funnily enough that just happened to me, but I lost a bit more than you.
The original filter went missing at some stage, so I also used the cut-off
stainless steel tea-strainer. That also went missing, so I suspect some
thieving bird. The next one will be glued in.

I noticed 1.83" rain here since yesterday in my CoCoRAHS gauge but only
0.5" in the VP2 so I did a quick check and found the weep hole plugged up
and the rain cone half full of water.
I saved the water in a pot and slowly poured into the cleaned rain cone and
