Follow-up Comment #1, bug #20048 (project wesnoth): "The bug" turned out to be caused by an error in downloading, installing, whatever; anyway not by anything between the program and Windows Vista. After re-installing with a re-downloaded installation file, Battle for Wesnoth is running smooth. N
