Note that the situation is different in each combination of OS/keymap.
Changing stuff in the hotkeys area is thus poking into a beehive since you
will never get to consider all possible effects. + doesn't require shift for
me for instance

On a US-English keyboard, hitting the plus sign does not require hitting the
shift key if you use the numeric keypad. (And since there is no equals sign on
my numeric keypad, this change could be inconvenient for those who use the
numeric
