Two significant events took place in Uganda's recent history.
First, on this day in 1989, the dreadful Mukura Massacre took place in

We need a new African award for short-lived presidencies. Maybe that would
discourage "Entebbe ewooma" democracy that lifts term limits, age limits,
and rigs all elections. Why not just rule. At least that would be most of
all honest.
