Hi dear all, Ihave been marvelling at the ideas coming in these pages about power. Very interesting indeed but I think all we need is to apply the correct political pressure at the right time and you will get power. Remember 2011 is not far and our votes will for sure count this time round.
If you want to set up a power company and do your own, first ask Afimani George Obitregama and then you can revert to this forum. It is no simple feat. I would like to assure you that Nyagak MUST come and all our efforts should now focus on that. We are cuurently trying to develop a small hydro plant of 2.2 MW on River Nchwera in Bushenyi and what is involved is amazing. Nothing gets done without government of the days' goodwill. Which government will you go to. If it is the same one failing Nyagak, you will fail twice for another private initiative. lets think this carefully. Politically you can still doing. Do not forget that the statistics over the last two elections shows that the figures are coming down even from traditional power bases. Westnile is definately important. Have you ahd of proposals to amend the law to allow for anyone who has the highest to take office. Figures are coming down folks!!!! You can do it politically!!! donot lose this chance.
