Hello,
I was poking through the list archives to get info on HTTP byte range
support, and I noticed that somebody had a patch back in 2001. Whatever
happened to this and the --range switch? A quick check with wget 1.10.2
shows that the patch doesn't seem to have made it into the main branch.
Does this happen to resolve the issue I asked about a few days ago (no
response yet) where DNS doesn't resolve in the presence of an
authenticated proxy?

Same failure (as wget 1.11 alpha 1) to fetch any files with "wget -r
ftp://xxx"; from a VMS FTP server. See:
