I have compiled the 1.9.1. source on a Solaris 9 machine with Openssl installed on both the compiling Sun and the operating Sun. I believe the Sun compiler machine is properly configured, using the configure command prior to compiling.
When I compile wget, I get a wget binary as ......../src/wget but when I look at the usage echo (wget -h) there are no arguments to turn on secure http, and I haven't found any secure http arguments in the .../doc files or in wgetrc. When I try the command line of: ......../src/wget https://foo.pdf I still get "unsupported scheme" in the error log. What am I doing wrong? Is there a compiled version of wget available that is appropriate for https? I am using wget in a scripting application, and I am relying on a C programmer to compile this code for me.
