Hi all, where can I get a list of the different return codes and what
they mean? For example:
WGET: http://example.domain.tld Cant get file: content.piz and save
locally as: /var/www/html/content.piz Return code: wget exited with
value 2
What is return value 2? What does it indicate? T

That's not an error report. An error report would tell the reader
which version of wget you were using ("wget -v")
I think it is a Bug:
using wget for multiple files :
es.
wget ftp://user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/*.zip
in the time of each file the seconds are set to 00

If you're troubled by the message "Caching oiswww.eumetsat.int =>
81.2.148.34", then the explanation may be that "--cache=off" differs
from "--dns-cache=off". As "wget -h" says:

Thanks for the information.
Could you tell me a site where I can find static
compiled version of wget, perhaps an rpm? Because I'm
not able to compile.

I have a serious problem with this wget utility.
When used in a cronscript to execute a php script say the url is like this(http://111.222.333.444/somepath/some_file_name.php), most of the timesthe output received is
Error No: -i, No data received.

Hi Leonid (and list!)
Thanks for the response, but there was nothing at the bottom of wget.h
that explained what the numeric error codes refer to. For example, a
common return code I get when wget fails is 256, but I do not know what
that means... I'd be happy to contribute by compiling a neat

Look at the bottom of src/wget.h
The names are rather descriptive. More details can be found in the
source code. If you could create a descriptive table and add it to
documentation, other users will
Hello,
When using wget in my scripts I get back return codes which are either
0, for success, or a non-zero error code. The problem is that I have no
idea what these numbered error codes mean. Is there a list somewhere
that defines the numbered error codes returned by wget? TIA.

Hi,
I am trying to run "wget" in AIX.
In my development box (AIX 4.3.3.0) , I installed the "wget" in my home
directory (non-root). All compilation no error. And wget runs ok in the
dev. box.
Then I moved the "wget" directory (sub-directory binetcinfo man
share) into a staging box
