Now we have Cirrus Search, but I don't whether it has any relation to LQT. In
fact LQT is clearly in legacy mode, and I'm not sure we would advice anyone to
write other search backends for it.

I think there are middle-term considerations to switch from Lucene to Solr, but
I don't know which changes this would require.

The search feature hasn't been implemented for any search backend other than
Lucene, and it's not currently a priority to do so.
