Thanks for taking the time to properly fix this. At the time I posted the xpdf
patch, I wasn't aware of the poppler fork. The change in the pdfinfo output was

Newer versions of pdfinfo seem to include the patch from comment 8 and should
therefore work. (I don't know what newer versions means in version numbers.

Ok I checked it again. Imagemagick works fine and generates a png picture with
424 x 300 pixel but MediaWiki tells me that the pdf has a resolution of 1.653 ×
2.338 Pixel and
