Summary: Can subscribe and unsubscribe notices to list admins,
and config changes, state who took the action
           Product: Wikimedia
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: Normal
         Component: Mailing lists
        AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org
        ReportedBy: ft2.w...@gmail.com

I am a list admin on a WM hosted list. I routinely get subscribe and
unsubscribe notifications that state user X was subscribed or unsubscribed to
the list. But on a largish list with multiple list admins there is no easy way
for any list admin to check or have a record what's gone on without a follow-up
email to ask.

Can subscribe and unsubscribe notifications to list admins be amended to state
"X was subscribed/unsubscribed _by Y_"?

On a similar theme list admins on sensitive lists have no way to crosscheck
changes to the list config. Although all list admins are trusted it's normal
that however trusted users may be, every sensitive action can be crosschecked
by their peers (eg checkuser/oversight which are not allowed unless two or more
will exist on a project). Nobody can check my actions as a list admin, and I
can't check anyone elses. Again could mailing lists be customized so that
changes by list admins to the list config are notified to other list admins?
