Now that I'm thinking about it, my experience has been that everything always
went right into the job queue immediately. I'm not 100% sure of whether viewing
it was required or not. Do you h

I have this working fully automatically on a site running SF 2.2.1.
The SF documentation says that the page create is placed on the job queue
automatically. It should not need a p
