Strainu created this task. Herald added a subscriber: Aklapper. TASK DESCRIPTION Currently, pictures added from local wikipedia are only checked to exist on commons. However, local wikipedias can have totally different pictures with the same name. For instance, [[:hu:File:Petri.jpg]] is a picture of a village in Romania, while [[:c:File:Petri.jpg]] is a picture of a Rugby player. The possible solutions that I see are: - if the picture source is a Wikipedia, we can check the SHA1checksums on that wikipedia and on commons are the same. If they're not, warn the user and/or remove the picture. The disadvantage is that the source might be added much later than the image and by different users. - when Commons moves to Wikibase, check the "is instance of" field or similar.
