TASK DESCRIPTION

We recently noticed that, when you load e. g. Special:NewItem, the input placeholders are first “enter a label”, “enter a description” and “enter some aliases”, but then as soon as _javascript_ loads, they’re replaced with language-specific versions: “enter a label in English”, “enter a description in English”, and “enter some aliases in English” (emphasis added). (The second version corresponds to message keys with the suffix -language-aware.) This seems a bit silly – why is this done?
