Hi Siko,
I don't expect it to be a problem to run both banners simultaneously. I
would prefer it if you can keep WLM banners at least for some percentage up,
so that people see it isn't broken :)
Thanks for asking, and sorry for the late reply,
Lodewijk

Strainu,
I've already stated that ranking.php has problems. I found late some
weird behaviours from mediawiki (like Rotatebot appearing as the image
uploader, which is not correct) so I had to apply some emergency
measures which didn't work quite well either. I didn't state new users

Hi Nuno,
thanks for the update! I remember that in the old version, the countries
were clickable to give you stats per country - would that be again possible?
:)
Thanks,

Lodewijk,
The API should stick to as simple as possible, with raw data.
Therefore, I've conceived this bridge which just reads (and caches)
from the API and puts the links where they're due.
In the end, the result is pretty much the same as rankings.php, have a look:
Yes, that would be helpful :) Thanks! Unfortunately that doesn't have the
new users - could you add those there too?
Thanks a lot,

Oh, and I'm not making any changes to api-bridge.php . I'll try to
gather some time to address *your* specifics (as I did with mine), but I
can't promise anything.
I can send you the bridge, though. It's an ashamable piece of code - you
can easily customize it.

Yes, the stats seem ok, at least for Romania. Thanks!

Indeed, the label was somewhat incorrect. That column represents
average images per use, not a percentage, so it has been fixed.
But the stats now are as true as possible, I
wow - only 1 in 50 submitted images (2%) for the Netherlands is being used
in Wikipedia? :s I am not sure if that is actually correct though... 50%
sounded much more like my empirical understanding. A quick sample gave me
6/14 images being used on Wikipedia. confusion

Dear fellows,
I really would like to know which countries are using Flickr after all,
and if you have an estimate of how many images are being tranferred from
there?
Could you please reply?

We're using flickr and we have about 200 images there so far. I'm
waiting for approval to run my import bot. So far I've made a test run
for 7 images.
If you want to see the coutnries using flickr, just search for wiki

Well, dear fellows, I just hit a definition issue. How would you
classify a new user?
1. A user whose registration date is before a date (01-09-2011 GMT-1)?
2. A user whose participation initiated after that date?
I'd say that the strict and technical definition would go the first
option.
