I'm pleased to announce the results of the wikimeet survey that ran late last

Not yet sure when the decision will be made, but feedback "soon-ish" would be

Back when I was Head of Outreach at the House of Lords, I can remember an
Information Committee meeting (made up of members of the House, but I was
present), where Lord Puttnam - producer of Local Hero, Chariots of Fire and
Bugsy Malone, among many others - was pushing for Select Committee

One of our privileges as a Wikimedia chapter is to vote in the
chapter/affiliate election for the so-called "affiliate-selected WMF
board posts". Candidate nominations closed this week, and the board now
needs to decide which candidate or candidates we wish as a chapter to
support.
Things have not gone well for the Images Workshop over the past week, so I'm
postponing it. Any further developments will be announced here. Charles___
