Brian, The obvious opportunity would be to take the fringe to the fringe. Every Wikimania needs some events for the day after Wikimania, why not make one option be to spend a few days at the fringe? I started the category fringe http://wikimania2014.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Fringeon the
