Admittedly I cannot tell since I do not know about the technical
dark-age of the wiki. However, some extensions that could have been at
play here may have been used in the past. Currently, it does not use
extensions with its own tables and alike.

As far as i know mediawiki core has never used views. It is possible some
extension made it, but it would be an unusual thing to do (for example the
UserSnoop extension makes a view, but not named that). Or maybe a sysadmin
made it for their own purposes at some point.

Thanks for the pointer. I got this automatically when dumping the
database of a rather old version of MediaWiki. Was something like this
in pre-1.23 MediaWiki? It would be a surprise, but one never knows.
