I don't know. The 1.1 branch has are lots of improvements
people want; what's so special about Gecko?
IMHO we should leave the 1.0 branch alone,
and just get on with 1.

That was because it contained a few patches that were committed today.

Hi,
I've released first (and hopefully last) RC build of new Gecko package
and attached a patch against current Wine Git to bug 16198

And what do we do for now ?
Is it still wise to distribute a old version, what are the risk that
someone can use a gecko bug and do some harm in linux or is that not
very likely with wine ?

We'd like to move to a newer one.
See http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.c
Hi All,
I'm the packager of the Mandriva package.
And I have a question about wine_gecko-0.1.0.cab
This package is from 2007-05-30 11:42 and in the mean time firefox
had a lot of security updates.
Is it still save to distribute wine_gecko-0.1.0.cab ?
Kind regards,
Marco

Great, thanks. I will wait until tomorrow and then upload it to
SourceForge. Some changes in Gecko installer will be needed to support
different package versions.

Indeed they would. Only I would say picasa to steam ratio would be
1-to-100. And btw only most rudimentary things work in both! Steam
worked _perfectly_ before. And I'm sure would still worked. But now, you
can't buy stuff, you can't open screen-shots (because they are popups)
you don't see MOTO w
